Hi everyone. It’s getting to be that time of year again. Time to support the cause in fighting a cure for ALS!! You can register and donate and/or walk. The walk is Sunday, October 20th at 9:00 AM at De Anza Cove in Mission Bay.
My team is called *Duncan Surfliners*
I am going to do everything I can to get the biggest turnout possible and get our biggest donation total yet!!
I would love to see all of you out there walking in memory of my dad if you can make it.
If you aren’t familiar with ALS, it’s a very aggressive disease that attacks the muscles. It took my dads life less than two years after his diagnosis. Sometimes it can progress faster or slower. So let’s do what we can and fight this horrific disease!!! Nobody should ever have to suffer from this.
Thank you in advance and ANYTHING helps.
Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease yet it still costs loved ones an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
