This summer I worked for a week at the ALS Association and learned first-hand what this organization is doing to help ALS patients and their families.
I’m writing to ask if you will join me in “taking steps” towards defeating this horrible disease.
As some of you know, my Aunt Marjie has ALS, which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. There is currently no cure for ALS. Each and every day my aunt battles this disease: She fights to walk on her own, to keep talking and to independently do so many things we all take for granted. My aunt has taught me the value of having a positive attitude and to never, ever give up.
I am putting together a team to walk with me on October 20, 2019, to benefit the ALS Association.
Donations in any amount, large or small, are wonderful. But if you can’t donate, that is also fine. Either way, I would love for you to show your support for the goal of defeating ALS by walking with me. It’s a fun walk around Mission Bay and our family will provide breakfast snacks under our tent before and after the walk!
