SDSU Flex for ALS

Led by SDSU graduate students Jenn Hoffman and Victor Bonavida, the Aztec Sports Medicine Association and the Aztec Professional Pre-Health Organization held FLEX for ALS on April 13, 2018 on the campus of SDSU to raise ALS awareness and funds for our Greater San Diego Chapter. The event was a success and a lot of fun for the participants who enjoyed the interactive ALS information station, fitness and health competition, yoga session, healthy food vendors, career expo, music in the sun, two inspirational PAL and family speakers, and even a hot pepper challenge! A month after the event, Jenn explained “It was very impactful and rewarding to watch so many SDSU students learn about ALS and have fun while also raising money for such a devastating disease. Hearing Don and Chief Brink’s stories was powerful for all of us - their stories opened up a lot of people’s eyes and I know will make a positive impact on the lives of many.”
