Volunteer of The Year |
Lisa Harchut - Volunteer of The Year Award Winner! Lisa’s interest and passion for volunteering for the ALS community started in Philadelphia, PA after her Uncle Jim’s diagnosis in 2008. She became extremely active volunteering for our local chapter after moving to San Diego more than a year ago and has played a big part in the success of our chapter's signature and third-party events. Lisa recently shared with us that "I love all the events we do here in San Diego. They are fun, we do a lot of great things for the local ALS community, and I always leave with a smile on my face." Another one of Lisa’s amazing volunteer accomplishments this year was creating and leading our Stories of PALS initiative on social media where PALS, friends, and family are sharing stories, giving a voice to people with or affected by ALS, and raising awareness. Please join Lisa and the Greater San Diego Chapter by reading and sharing these beautiful stories at #storiesofpals on Instagram. Congratulations Lisa on all your amazing work with our chapter and families - thank you for all you do! Date:
